In the hospital
For families advocating for a loved one who has been admitted. The stakes are highest and the time is shortest.
AI patient advocacy for families
Myrrh Health reads the labs, test results and doctors’ notes, explains them in plain language, flags what changed, and helps you ask the care team the right questions.

Working prototype in development, not yet open to the public. Educational only, not medical advice.
What it is
Whether it’s a parent in the ICU or a spouse managing care from home, families are expected to push for the best possible care at the worst moment of their lives. Nobody teaches them what to ask. Myrrh interprets the chart so you walk in with understanding.
For families advocating for a loved one who has been admitted. The stakes are highest and the time is shortest.
For patients and caregivers managing ongoing care between appointments, specialists and test results.
Labs, test results, doctors’ and specialists’ notes. Upload files or paste text.
What it all means in plain language, what changed, and what published guidelines say about care.
Specific questions for the care team, and the understanding to ask them.
The app
Everything in one place: the records, the timeline, the trends, and an alert when something needs attention, like a critically low glucose result.
What the prototype does
The prototype works today and is being tested on a real hospital chart: thirty-one documents analyzed, thirty markers tracked. It isn’t open to the public yet.
Upload PDFs and photos or paste text: labs, test results, doctors’ and specialists’ notes. Lab values are pulled out and organized for you.
A short, jargon-free summary of the whole picture across all of the records, with any medical term defined in the same sentence.
Highlights what is new, worsening or newly inconsistent compared with older records, and scans for mismatches between the patient’s condition and the care documented.
Follows lab markers over time and alerts you when a trend moves, so a slow drift doesn’t get lost between shifts.
Specific questions tied to the value, date or note that prompted them, plus a briefing you can copy and share with the team or family.
Compares the care in the records with widely accepted standards: current care versus typical versus optimal.
Plain-English patient and surrogate rights, including second opinions, ethics consults and grievances, plus a lookup for your state and federal elected representatives.
Every record and event on one timeline, with a place to log what the family sees at the bedside.
Why I built it
I’m Brad Marsh. I’ve spent close to twenty years in technology and marketing analytics at companies like Google, Yahoo! and Publicis Groupe, and more recently I’ve been building AI products.
Then my mom spent months in the ICU. I sat at her bedside using AI to read her labs and her doctors’ notes, so I could understand what was happening and push for better care. The chart was a secret language, and no one had built an interpreter for families.
So I built Myrrh, so the next family going through this has that help too.

Support
Myrrh was born at one family’s bedside. Your support helps us finish it and put it in the hands of families facing a hospital stay or a hard diagnosis.
Myrrh Health is an educational tool. It does not diagnose, treat or replace a clinician. Always talk with the patient’s doctors and care team about medical decisions. In an emergency, call 911.
Mailing list
